The commodity trading market in Vietnam garners the interest of global partners.

27/03/2024

On 25 and 26 March, 2024, the Headquarters of the Mercantile Exchange of Vietnam (MXV) welcomed a delegation of prominent international partners. Among the distinguished guests were Chicago Mercantile Exchange - CME Group, CQG - a multinational technology company, StoneX - a multinational financial services group, and Orient Futures - international finance company. These partners are renowned for their expertise and credibility in the global commodity trading market, honed through years of invaluable experience.

The partners all affirmed that Vietnam stands as one of the fastest growing markets in the region and they have identified collaboration with MXV as the pivotal strategy for their future endeavors. Over the course of two productive working days, MXV representatives and partners engaged in open and constructive discussions, sharing their collective experiences and strengths. Given the volatility in the global commodity market, the proposed strategies will enable businesses and investors to mitigate price risks associated with commodities that are sensitive to global dynamics, while simultaneously fostering market growth. As a result, Vietnam's commodity trading market is steadily advancing towards a more sustainable future.

Furthermore, during this event, the delegates from various parties openly exchanged valuable insights regarding the practical implementation of professional endeavors such as price hedging, risk management, member management, and transaction clearing. The primary objective was to establish and operate a transparent, professional, and efficient commodity trading market. Additionally, in-depth discussions delved into market and human resource training, with a notable focus on collaboration with our esteemed partner, CME Group.

In order to ensure seamless operations in the 24/7 global market, commodity trading activities rely heavily on partnerships with international entities such as interconnected commodity exchanges, technology solution providers, trading systems, and strategic consulting firms. These interactions form a crucial part of MXV's strategic planning framework geared towards fostering comprehensive international cooperation. Looking ahead to the 2024-2025 horizon, MXV remains committed to fortifying alliances with international partners to expand Vietnam's global connectivity.

The partners' acknowledgment of MXV's professionalism in market organization resonated strongly at the conclusion of the meeting. They underscored the importance of collaborating with MXV and recognized that nurturing robust relationships between stakeholders lays a solid groundwork for future cooperative ventures. Consequently, Vietnam's commodity trading market is poised for enhanced systemic and professional organization, further bolstering Vietnam's standing in the international commodity arena.
